What about the health coordinator in all of this?

As a healthcare coordinator, you will be the guarantor of the development and application of the operational strategy in health of the mission as well as the quality of the current and future health programs in the definition, implementation and evaluation phases. You will strengthen the capacities of the Mission Health Department and provide technical support to project teams and in particular health projects managers in a functional relationship. You will ensure the representation of PUI with the authorities, humanitarian actors and donors for the health sector.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • CONTRACK ANALYSIS / Strategy / Development: You will participate in the development of the operational health strategy and contribute to the development of new relevant health interventions on the mission according to the needs identified in the country, respecting the policy and the health intervention framework of PUI. In coordination with the health team, you will ensure epidemiological watch on the country and analyze the strengths and weaknesses from a public health point of view.
  • Programs Quality: You will provide functional technical support in your field of expertise to programs teams, in particular health programs, and you will ensure the quality and efficiency of the mission health program (s).
  • Representation / Coordination: You will ensure the sectoral representation in PUI health with partners, donors, national authorities and local actors. You will represent PUI in health cluster meetings or healthy sectoral coordination group. You will contribute to the correct circulation of information from the health sector.
  • Human Resources / Training: You will offer technical support to project teams and in particular health teams. You will provide support for project managers for the recruitment of technical health personnel. In collaboration with the chief. Mission (CDM) and/or the Deputy CDM Program and the Health Referent of the Headquarters, you will identify the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and shortcomings of the Health Department. You will supervise the content of health training and the quality of health activities on the basis of identified needs.
  • Logistics and administration: You will ensure that the teams under your responsibility respect the logistical and administrative procedures and hold the logistical and administrative departments informed of any relevant evolution.
  • Security: You will contribute to compliance with the mission security rules and transmit any information relating to security to your hierarchical manager and/or to the Mission Security Manager. You will contribute when necessary to the choice of reference options for the health care of the mission expatriates.

The challenges awaiting you:

-Deploy PUI operations to provide emergency health services for Port-au-Prince populations.

– Define Pui’s health strategy in Haiti.

– Ensure the representation of PUI with health authorities and health partners.

What you need to succeed

  • Formation You can justify a higher diploma in the medical or paramedical field. On the other hand, training in public health or even project management would be appreciated.
  • Experience You are with at least three years of field experience in international NGOs, in the coordination of medical projects. Have you already held the functions of coordinator. It will be greatly appreciated. Have you ever worked with international urgency? It will be an undeniable asset!
  • SKILLS You master humanitarian project management and team management, you have in -depth knowledge of the main donors. You have excellent editorial skills.
  • Qualities required You show good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both in writing and in oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You are able to work independently with initiative, show sense of responsibility, an excellent capacity for analysis, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent stress resistance and a capacity to work under pressure.
  • LANGUAGES French and English have no secrets for you! So much the better, these are essential languages ​​for this position. If you speak Arabic, it would be an undeniable asset.

Pui will offer you

  • Status: Framework for fixed -term contract
