Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of our initiative focused on Strengthening Social Cohesion by Empowering Communities to Lead Early Recovery Processes Together. This project is designed to build the resilience of conflict-affected communities in Northwest Syria by promoting peaceful coexistence, fostering local leadership, and reducing conflict risks through dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and community-led recovery initiatives.<\/p>\n

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of all activities of the project. You will work closely with community stakeholders, Local Protection and Peace Committees, and partner organizations to ensure the successful delivery of project activities that promote social cohesion, peacebuilding, and community empowerment. Your role will involve managing project staff, liaising with donors, and ensuring that project objectives are met within the allocated timeline and budget.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Lead and manage the overall implementation of the project in alignment with its objectives and goals.
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain work plans, budgets, and reports to ensure timely execution of project activities.
\n\u2022 Oversee the establishment and capacity building of Local Protection and Peace Committees, ensuring they are equipped to conduct community dialogues, resolve local conflicts peacefully, and lead community-based peace initiatives.
\n\u2022 Foster relationships with local authorities, community leaders, CBOs, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and participation.
\n\u2022 Oversee the organization and delivery of community dialogue sessions, awareness-raising campaigns, and capacity-building training.
\n\u2022 Monitor project outcomes, ensuring all activities are implemented according to organizational standards, timelines, and donor requirements.
\n\u2022 Manage project staff, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team.
\n\u2022 Ensure proper financial management and reporting in compliance with donor and organizational policies.
\n\u2022 Regularly report to senior management and donors on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n

Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Turkish Citizenship (mandatory).
\n\u2022 A bachelor\u2019s degree in social sciences, International Development, Conflict Resolution, Peace Studies, or a related field. A master\u2019s degree is a plus.
\n\u2022 Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in peacebuilding, social cohesion, or community recovery initiatives.
\n\u2022 Proven experience working in conflict-affected regions, particularly in projects focused on peacebuilding, community empowerment, or early recovery.
\n\u2022 Demonstrated experience in leading multi-stakeholder collaborations, including government authorities, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
\n\u2022 Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project staff.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of donor-funded project management, including proposal development, budgeting, and reporting.
\n\u2022 Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English.
\n\u2022 Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.<\/p>\n

Preferred Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of protection mainstreaming and working with vulnerable groups, including women, children, and displaced populations.
\n\u2022 Familiarity with peacebuilding and conflict resolution methodologies.
\n\u2022 Understanding of the humanitarian context in Northwest Syria, with prior work experience in cross-border projects considered an advantage.
\n\u2022 Familiarity with digital tools for project management and reporting.<\/p>\n
