{"id":9957,"date":"2024-08-21T00:23:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T19:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/it-undergraduate-intern\/"},"modified":"2024-08-21T00:23:00","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T19:23:00","slug":"it-undergraduate-intern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/?p=9957","title":{"rendered":"IT Undergraduate Intern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"tag country\">Country: Kenya<\/div>\n<div class=\"tag source\">Organization: International Potato Center<\/div>\n<div class=\"date closing\">Closing date: 29 Aug 2024<\/div>\n<p>The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a highly talented, and energetic self-motivated student with the ability to resolve events, incidents, and support issues, who is a team player, and has the ability to escalate issues to other specialized teams and partners <strong>IT Undergraduate Intern.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IT Undergraduate intern will provide support to the IT Regional Officer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical support to users and computers.<\/li>\n<li>Technical support for conferences and meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Africa and Asia Equipment and Services Inventory Update.<\/li>\n<li>Enlisting staff in AD Self Service system.<\/li>\n<li>Any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently enrolled in bachelor\u2019s degree in information technology, Business Information Technology, Information systems, Computer science or equivalent in a recognized University in Kenya.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Windows and Office 365 operating system support.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of ITIL framework.<\/li>\n<li>Support with Windows users and network infrastructure, Office 365 Services, web conferencing<\/li>\n<li>Good command of English language and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Should have a flexible study schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why should you consider this opportunity?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CIP works with partners in over 20 countries to improve diets and incomes of poor people in Africa, Asia and Latin America through scientific research, innovation, and capacity strengthening.<\/li>\n<li>CIP\u2019s programs seek to strengthen broader agri-food systems to generate economic, social and nutritional benefits for farmers, enterprises and consumers emphasizing the priorities of women and youth in particular.<\/li>\n<li>CIP emphasizes the synergies between social and bio-physical sciences as a core strategy for making breakthroughs in our understanding of complex development challenges in food and agriculture and for our ability to overcome these.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are we offering?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Work in an equal and diverse workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are the conditions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The position is an internship position limited to Kenya nationals and permanent residents only.
