The Nutrition and Health Programme manager will work in close collaboration with other Nutrition Programme Managers, local implementing partners and other Action Against Hunger sector programme managers to ensure coordination, collaboration, integration and quality of nutrition and Health activities.<\/p>\n<h2 id='key-activities-in-your-role-will-include'  id=\"boomdevs_2\"><strong>Key activities in your role will include<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Objective 1: Establish and supervise activities in the framework of nutrition and Health projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>a) Management of the project cycle in nutrition and Health<\/p>\n<p>b) Meeting the objectives of ACF in health facilities dealing with malnutrition and PHC<\/p>\n<p>c)The quality of the programme for which he\/she is responsible<\/p>\n<p>Key activities &#038; responsibilities to achieve this objective:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with other Nutrition &#038; Health PM and other sectors to analyse needs in the area and propose activities &#038; locations accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Formulating project proposals with other sectors with a view to developing shared and integrated approaches<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring quality implementation of nutritional and primary health packages, including CMAM, IYCF, Micronutrient interventions and PHC (RH, EPI, OPD, HE)<\/li>\n<li>Supporting implementing partners to plan, implement and monitor delegated project activities as effective and efficient as possible<\/li>\n<li>Participating in the preparation and execution of nutritional assessments (provide information to those conducting the study: local geographical, economic, social and anthropological data) \u2022Plan, organize and conduct capacity building trainings and supervisions<\/li>\n<li>Establish effective referral system between community and facilities, CMAM components and withing PHC system<\/li>\n<li>Preparing timely procurement requests according to project procurement plan, BoQ and budgets,<\/li>\n<li>Establish supplies monitoring and controlling mechanism (Therapeutic products, drugs and medical supplies)<\/li>\n<li>Manage and ensure proper utilisation of funds through monitoring budget follow up and budget forecasting (financial projections) according to the donor proposals<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the MEAL plan for the nutrition and health programme is rolled out ), followed and share updates with other Nutrition PMs, Field manager and Nutrition &#038; Health Head of Department<\/li>\n<li>In line with the policy of ACF as a learning organisation, contributing to capitalisation of good practice, experience, and assessments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 2: Human Resource Management and staff development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nutrition Programme Manager is responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>a) Evaluation of the skill level and technical competence of the ACF teams and local implementing partner<\/p>\n<p>b) Identification of training needs<\/p>\n<p>c)Skills development for ACF colleagues and local implementing partners staff in his\/her programme<\/p>\n<p>d)Ensuring the quality of training programmes established for the ACF teams and local implementing partner<\/p>\n<p>e) Management of his\/her teams (leadership, monitoring, motivation&#8230;.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determine the HR needs for the implementation nutrition and health activities<\/li>\n<li>Taking part in the recruitment of staff in line with HR procedures and in consultation with Field manager and base HR focal person<\/li>\n<li>Conduct staff appraisals and support Project officers in the implementation of staff appraisals &#038; development of work\/action plans<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on work\/ action plans<\/li>\n<li>Identifying the training needs of ACF teams and local implementing partner teams based on assessments and observation<\/li>\n<li>Organising and carrying out staff training sessions, On Job training, Mentoring and Supervision in collaboration with Capacity Building PM<\/li>\n<li>Organise and lead monthly team meetings with implementing local partners to identify challenges and track progress in the programme implementation at the different centres and develop action plan and follow up accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Organising and leading meetings with the team and individual staff members, on both a regular and ad hoc basis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 3: Develop and direct operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>a) Contribute to the ACF Nutrition &#038; Health Strategy development<\/p>\n<p>b) Timely and quality implementation of planned activities within his\/her programme and alerting the Field Manager and Head of Department to any delays or excessive or under-use of resources<\/p>\n<p>c)Timely and quality reporting, both internal and external, of the activities of his\/her programme, together with a critical analysis<\/p>\n<p>d)Identifying and proposing the development of new programmes<\/p>\n<p>e) Writing the nutritional and medical sections of proposals for activities in his\/her target location<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the development of the ACF Nutrition Sudan strategy, and roll out strategy as required<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the preparation of new project proposals (text, budget, BoQ and HR needs) in collaboration with other Nutrition PMs, other sectors\u2019 PMs, Field Manager and Nutrition &#038; health Head of department<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and quality monthly reporting (APR narrative and APR quantitative report) and ensure programme reporting by local implementing partners<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to donor reporting (frequency according to the donor requirements) by compiling and writing of nutrition narrative on progress<\/li>\n<li>Represent Nutrition and health programme to partners (the authorities, donors etc)<\/li>\n<li>Note: ACF is working in a constantly changing humanitarian aid environment, reasonable specific work duties may be requested of you that may not fit into the above job description but will help promote overall program goals and aims of ACF Mission. This job description is not exhaustive and may be changed or amended by the Line manager, Nutrition Head of Department and HR HOD when necessary, according to the base needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id='do-you-meet-the-profile-required-criteria'  id=\"boomdevs_3\"><strong>Do you meet the profile required criteria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Public health\/ Nurse\/ Nutrition\/Medicine with experience in training, capacity building, and program management on health and nutrition. Master\u2019s degree is preferred<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years&#8217; work experience. Out of which at least 3-year experience in program management at senior level and 2 years\u2019 experience in the field on direct supervision, monitoring of health and nutrition activities) and capacity building of staff, Experience in health and nutrition assessments and surveys<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed management and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Team building and training skills (ToT)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in partnership with local implementing partners, government, and other international\/national partners.<\/li>\n<li>Has a good knowledge of the context in the region<\/li>\n<li>ENGLISH: Professional in Written and spoken<\/li>\n<li>Arabic: Professional in Written and spoken<\/li>\n<li>MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access<\/li>\n<li>Strong flexibility is required in terms of mobility and working hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id='our-remuneration-package'  id=\"boomdevs_4\"><strong>Our remuneration package:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Based in: Sudan \u2013 South Kordofan &#8211;
