{"id":7948,"date":"2024-07-22T14:34:18","date_gmt":"2024-07-22T09:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/driver-2\/"},"modified":"2024-07-22T14:34:18","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T09:34:18","slug":"driver-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/?p=7948","title":{"rendered":"Driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"tag country\">Country: Pakistan<\/div>\n<div class=\"tag source\">Organization: International Organization for Migration<\/div>\n<div class=\"date closing\">Closing date: 31 Jul 2024<\/div>\n<p>Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Pakistan and direct supervision of the Procurement and Logistics Officer\/Senior Procurement &#038; Logistics Coordinator; and, in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters and the Administrative Centres, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for managing the resources management functions in Islamabad office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s).<\/li>\n<li>Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure roadworthiness of the vehicles. This includes daily check of tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange for minor repairs and ensures that the vehicles are kept clean.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the vehicles undertake regular service intervals.<\/li>\n<li>Keep records of spare parts for vehicle(s) and conduct monthly inventory of the spare parts.<\/li>\n<li>Find the most direct and safe route over the best available roads to the destination.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the IOM vehicle(s) is used only for official\/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that the daily log sheet is prepared, and a monthly report is prepared summarizing statistics linked to mileage, fuel consumption, etc. for the vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involves IOM and its officials. Take proper actions to reduce potential security threats to IOM officials and\/or property within the immediate vicinity of the vehicle and along transport routes.<\/li>\n<li>Meet official personnel at the airport(s) and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.<\/li>\n<li>Collect and deliver mail, documents, pouches, and other communications\/items from and to the country office; go to the post office, airport, government agencies, other UN agencies, institutions, project sites, etc., to take and deliver items and communications; keep records as required.<\/li>\n<li>When needed, assist the country office staff in performing simple clerical duties such as making and answering telephone calls, making photocopies, keeping records, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Perform such other duties as may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school degree\/certificate with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or Bachelor\u2019s Degree from an accredited institution.<\/li>\n<li>Valid national driver\u2019s licence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Skills in minor vehicle repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of radio, email, telephone and other applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluency in English and Urdu (oral and written).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of any other local language\/s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only short-listed candidates who are matching required criteria for the position will be contacted by IOM.<\/p>\n<p>Any offer made to the candidate in relation to this special vacancy notice is subject to funding confirmation.<\/p>\n<p>Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and background verification and security clearances.<\/p>\n<p>IOM provides equal opportunity to all qualified female and male including the physically challenged candidates.<\/p>\n<h2 id='how-to-apply'  id=\"boomdevs_1\">How to apply<\/h2>\n<p>Interested Candidates are invited to submit your application by 31 July 2024 through <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hiring.rozee.pk\/job\/preview\/1511960\">Driver Job ICT, United Nations Pakistan &#8211; ROZEE.PK<\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hiring.rozee.pk\/job-applicants.php?jid=1505270&amp;cs=x\"><strong>.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The application should be written in English.<\/p>\n<p>Other:<\/p>\n<p>The appointment is subject to funding confirmation.<\/p>\n<p>Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
