Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :<\/p>\n

Your main role will be to contribute to ACF’s ecosystem approach by participating in the management of priority technical projects for the Environment\/Ecology sector within the Expertise and Advocacy Department:
\nMore specifically, your missions will be as follows:
\nLead the identification of climatic and environmental risks (drought, floods, etc.) in our intervention areas. In partnership with Technical Service Managers and Operational Technical Referents, identify and validate the risks.
\nList the main negative effects observed when these risks are proven.
\nCapitalize on ACF\u2019s experience on these risks.
\nList the main Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) that respond to the identified risks. Dialogue with the Operational Technical Referents and Department Managers of the Country Offices to identify the responses already made to the identified risks.
\nConsolidate with Department Managers and Operational Technical Referents to judge whether the response made was appropriate and effective, but also environmentally friendly and sustainable.
\nCreate quality Nature-Based Solutions fact sheets that are tailored to the humanitarian sector.
\nEnsure the dissemination of content created in connection with this project. Create a search engine for solutions in the catalog of developed solutions.
\nDesign a training\/communication module for these new sheets.
\nContribute to the pilot project “Mangroves” in Sierra Leone: Establish an identification of climatic and environmental risks in coastal areas.
\nCapitalize on this pilot project of a Planetary Health project.
\nContribute to the operation of the Research, Analysis & Learning department. Participate in key internal and external events in the area of \u200b\u200bexpertise.
\nParticipate in Research, Analysis and Learning department meetings, and in the Environment unit, according to needs and priorities.
\nProvide support to the Ecological Referent.<\/p>\n

Profile :<\/p>\n

You hold a Master 2 level diploma in the field of ecology and you have experience in the field of integrating ecology into humanitarian, public and\/or private institutions.
\nYou are a specialist in the field of ecology and have experience in the field of operational and\/or applied research, ideally in the humanitarian sector.
\nYou have knowledge in ecology and in particular in Nature-Based Solutions.
\nKnowledge of One Health or Planetary Health concepts is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues are also a plus.
\nYou have a perfect command of English, both spoken and written.<\/p>\n

Conditions of employment<\/p>\n

Status: Integrated framework – 4-month Definite Purpose Contract – Full time (The contract may extend until 2025 subject to funding)
\nLocation: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
\nRemuneration: From 36K to 46K euros gross annually over 13 months depending on experience
\nBenefits: 21 days of RTT

\nTransport allowances: 50% coverage of the package between home and workplace
