{"id":7798,"date":"2024-07-19T22:40:56","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T17:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/information-management-officer\/"},"modified":"2024-07-19T22:40:56","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T17:40:56","slug":"information-management-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/?p=7798","title":{"rendered":"Information Management Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"tag country\">Country: Jordan<\/div>\n<div class=\"tag source\">Organization: Norwegian Refugee Council<\/div>\n<div class=\"date closing\">Closing date: 31 Jul 2024<\/div>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Prepare and develop status reports as required by management<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensure proper filing of documents by maintaining the program-specific portion of data capture, analysis, and warehouse platforms (e.g. KoBo and SharePoint) is well organised and accessible.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide technical guidance on the design of data capture processes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supervise data capture processes to ensure they are implemented according to plans and agreed on standards<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide analysis of information and data to address indicator reporting requirements<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain program files, databases, and other archives documenting project progress<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific responsibilities<\/strong><br \/><strong>Data handling, Reporting and visualization (60%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop and manage NRC\u2019s core competencies units&#8217; information management systems, platforms, and databases for the WaSH, shelter, ICLA, LFS,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Education and Protection from Violence (PfV).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Provide CC-level analysis for the outputs, outcomes collected data, verification data, etc.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Produce documents for distribution and reporting and contribute to relevant elements of the reconciliation of deliverables (ROD).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support the development of the internal and external reports, focusing on the output and outcome achievements and progress under the supervision of CCs project managers and MEL coordinator<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develop and maintain powerful dashboards and infographics to support the area programme by understanding the context, reflecting on achievements, and making evidence-based decisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Systematically review datasets for deficiencies or errors based on data quality SOPs and advising on correcting any incompatibilities where possible<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensure that all program data collected include the minimum information required for follow-up and conducting the Post-Distribution\/Delivery Monitoring (PDM) Assessments. E.g. beneficiary numbers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Digitalise the data collection implemented by the project staff and Support the program data management staff in using the digital systems and tools<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work closely with the IMs in the field and MEL coordinator on conducting regular data reviews<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Establish the protocols and systems necessary for remote support and client engagement (e.g. outbound calling, ticketing systems, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build mobile\/digital data collection surveys for the field teams like Kobo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communication and leadership (30%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Line management of the field-based Information Management Technical Assistants (IM Technical Assistants).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Conduct regular meetings with the country office MEL team and IM TAs in the presence of the MEL Coordinator.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Coordinate closely with the area office CCs project managers and country office MEL Team to provide all relevant and required support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capacity Building (10%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build the capacity of programme and field staff in relevant technical and management competencies (data capture, data cleaning, data management, data analysis\u2026).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hold regular digital and data literacy sessions for all NRC staff based on a pre-set capacity-&#8230;(TRUNCATED)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id='qualifications'  id=\"boomdevs_1\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Professional competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Minimum 2 years of experience in an international NGO, preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting, preferably in M&#038;E, Data management, or Information Management Systems (IMS)<br \/><strong>Education:<\/strong> A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferable<br \/><strong>IM Experience:<\/strong> Thorough experience with developing databases and beneficiary-tracking tools<br \/><strong>IM Experience:<\/strong> Demonstrated ability in electronic data collection, data cleaning, and analysis such as KOBO etc.<br \/><strong>Data Analysis:<\/strong> Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office such as (excel), databases, and data analysis tools<br \/><strong>Data Analysis:<\/strong> Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and statistical analysis<br \/><strong>Very Good in English, both written and verbal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Context\/specific skills, knowledge and experience: Context-knowledge:<\/strong> Knowledge of the context in Syria is preferred<br \/><strong>Context-knowledge:<\/strong> Experience with remotely managed programming<br \/><strong>Programme Knowledge:<\/strong> Previous relevant experience in WaSH, Shelter, ICLA, LFS or Education core competencies is a plus<br \/><strong>Advantage:<\/strong> Experience in GIS, Oracle, SQL or Power Bi is an advantage<br \/><strong>Personal Skills:<\/strong> Strong organisational and
