JOB OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager at HI in Peru, the Project Officer contributes to the implementation of the Humanity & Inclusion mandate and strategy in Peru. He\/she ensures the quality and optimal impact of the project implemented in the Loreto region (Iquitos), with the support of a logistical, financial and monitoring and evaluation team.<\/p>\n

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong>
1. Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 Manage and coordinate with project team members and Office officials
\nCountry the implementation processes of the planned activities.
\n1.2 Manages operations in the Loreto region (Iquitos) under the responsibility of HI Peru.
\n1.3 The operations are focused on 2 major activities: Community strengthening with
\ngender approach, inclusion and adaptation to climate change and development of instruments on
\nAdaptation to climate change with a gender focus and inclusion in the local government of the District
\nof San Juan Bautista and the province of Maynas in the Loreto region.
\n1.4 Applies humanitarian standards, principles and approaches, so that field operations
\nalways incorporate the approach of inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities and
\ngroups at greatest risk.
\n1.5 Ensures strict application and compliance with the Internal Regulations of the program and policies
\nHI by the project team.<\/p>\n

2. Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.1 Provides expertise and technical knowledge for project operations in
\nadaptation to climate change, disaster risk management with a gender and inclusion approach.
\na. Ensures that the activities carried out comply with technical standards and regulations
\nnational and international humanitarian efforts on gender and inclusion.
\nb. Is in charge of technical quality in the implementation of project activities.
\nc. Coordinates with community-based women’s social organizations,
\nadolescents, young people and people with disabilities in the Loreto region, for the actions
\nrelevant community authorities.
\nd. Coordinates with the local governments of San Juan Bautista and Maynas in the Loreto region,
\nas well as their respective environmental, social development and water management departments.
\ndisaster risk for their participation in project activities.
\ne. Adjusts its activities to the recommendations of the Senior Project Manager, the Officers
\nnational and\/or regional HI technical specialists.<\/p>\n

3. Implementation and Monitoring<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.1 Ensures the programmatic and financial execution of the project under its responsibility,
\nin collaboration with the relevant services and in accordance with the rules and procedures
\nHI generals.
\na. Ensures the planning of activities, according to the general planning of the project.
\nb. Participate in multi-level coordination mechanisms to ensure the strategy of
\nimplementation articulated with the actions committed by HI.
\nd. Ensures that activities are carried out in accordance with technical and quality standards and,
\nIf necessary, propose adjustments or improvements to help meet the objectives.<\/p>\n
