The positions:
1. Programme Officer<\/strong><\/p>\nPosition summary
\nThis position holder will be responsible for managing and implementing programs that Empower
\nCommunities to End FGM\/C in Burat, Kinna, and Oldonyiro Wards in Isiolo County through
\nGrassroot Actions.
\nDuty Station: Isiolo Town with travels to the Wards
\nContract duration: One year
Supervisor: Programme Manager<\/strong><\/p>\nWorking hours: Full time
Job duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\u27a2 Support the implementation of MID-P Gender Policy
\n\u27a2 Lead awareness creation on FGM\/C issues leading to actions and change, and services
\navailable in target communities
\n\u27a2 Develop training materials and IEC packages on FGM\/C

\n\u27a2 Strengthen a gender responsive\/sensitive complaints and response mechanism that would
\nensure that communities are aware of how to give feedback, where and the stakeholders
\ninvolved to address the feedback in a timely manner.
\n\u27a2 Support in conducting project monitoring, learning and reporting, and ensure that
\nreporting is timely and meets the evidence and objectives of the project.
\n\u27a2 Contribute to in fundraising efforts to enable MID-P to upscale and develop further GBV
\nfocused projects.
\nCapacity Building:
\n\u27a2 Conduct or facilitate training workshops for stakeholders, including capacity building of
\nsmall and medium grantees under the project.
\nCommunity Engagement and Project Management:
\n\u25cf Prepare regular progress reports and provide timely updates to key stakeholders, ensuring
\nadherence to donor guidelines and deadlines.
\n\u25cf Apply best practices in project management, ensuring project deliverables are met and
\nleading the technical aspects of the project.
\n\u25cf Develop concepts, guidelines, manuals, and procedures relevant to FGM\/C.
\n\u25cf Support in compiling reports, knowledge management (Collaborative Learning and
\nAdaptation) and representation of MID-P in different forums.
\n\u25cf Any other additional work as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\u27a2 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Social Science, Gender studies, Sociology or any other relevant field.
\n\u27a2 At least 3 years of practical working experience in gender inclusivity, empowerment and
\nsustainable development in Kenya;
\n\u27a2 Excellent analytical, writing, communications and advocacy skills;
\n\u27a2 Experience of working with NGOs;
\n\u27a2 Experience in working with stakeholders in development programs especially in gender
\nmainstreaming is an asset;
\n\u27a2 Experience in capacity building and training staff and stakeholders on gender-mainstreaming;
\n\u27a2 Experience in providing substantive technical inputs on Gender equality and Women
\nEmpowerment;
\n\u27a2 Experience in mobilizing resources is desirable
2. Finance and Administration Assistant<\/strong>
Position summary<\/strong><\/p>\nMID-P is recruiting a Finance and Administration Assistant to support the implementation of
\nHorn of Africa Extreme Weather Response -Kenya project in Isiolo County. MID-P secured
\nfunding under the OXFAM- MACP for 4 months. This position holder will be responsible for
\nmanaging and preparing financial reporting to the donor.
\nDuty Station: Isiolo Town
\nContract duration: 4 months

Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\u27a2 Provides assistance in maintaining financial records.
\n\u27a2 Ensure completeness of supporting documentations for payment.
\n\u27a2 updating financial spreadsheets, drafting spreadsheets, and reviewing and reconciling
\nbank statements.
\n\u27a2 Processing and preparing financial statements.
\n\u27a2 Creating, sending, and following up on invoices.
\n\u27a2 Collecting and reviewing data for reports.
\n\u27a2 Reviewing and performing audits on financial statements and reports
Required minimum qualification, skills, and experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\u27a2 Degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field.
\n\u27a2 At least Certified Public Accountant Part 1
\n\u27a2 Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
\n\u27a2 Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
\n\u27a2 Good organizational skills.
\n\u27a2 Strong analytical skills.
\n\u27a2 Detail-oriented.
\n\u27a2 Excellent time management skills.
\n\u27a2 Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing donor funded project<\/p>\n
