DRC PRESENTATION.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, working in more than 40 countries to provide appropriate assistance with a rights-based approach to refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees and migrants.<\/p>\n

Our vision is to help refugees, internally displaced people and their host communities lead a life of dignity. We protect lives and human rights and empower beneficiaries throughout conflict displacement by providing shelter, food and hope in terms of work, education and integration towards a sustainable future.<\/p>\n

DRC established an operational presence in Colombia in 2011 with a focus on Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and providing support to the conflict-affected population in the south of the country. With the onset of large mixed migration flows into Colombia due to the Venezuelan crisis, DRC initiated an integrated humanitarian response in 2018 to meet the urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, Colombian returnees and host communities in some of the areas. most vulnerable areas of Colombia, such as the coastal areas of the Caribbean (Riohacha and Barranquilla). urban centers (Bogot\u00e1 and Cundinamarca), and Caquet\u00e1. In 2021, DRC opened field offices on the South Pacific coast in the department of Nari\u00f1o and the northern part of Colombia in Norte de Santander.<\/p>\n

POSITION GENERAL DESCRIPTION:<\/strong> Support activities related to purchasing and logistics, ensuring compliance with DRC procedures and guidelines in the Norte de Santander office.<\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shopping:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Ensure that all purchasing requisitions are tracked from the point of planning and request to final receipt.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Guarantee the correct documentary management of the processes involved with the logistics area.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepare relevant documents for the acquisition of goods and services.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participate in the evaluation of bids and proposals and ensure that the bid evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations and contracts negotiated in the selection of suppliers contain all the facts and information necessary to justify the recommendations and selection made in the report.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participate in the joint verification of purchased goods and equipment and verify the conformity of the items with the technical specifications and quantities.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Check that all old and new assets are correctly registered in the system and labeled.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Carry out verification of physical assets.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Carry out continuous inventory monitoring and update the respective report.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Supervise deliveries and shipments from DRC warehouses and carry out the necessary documentation.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist with minor purchases required by the operation.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Follow up on returns or claims with suppliers.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Make timely payments to suppliers and check that the invoices received are in accordance with what was negotiated and delivered.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintain good communications with warehouse staff at other DRC locations and partner organizations.<\/p>\n

Logistics:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Carry out the requests and processes that are required in accordance with the annual purchasing plan made by the organization.<\/p>\n

Fleet management:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist with fleet management tasks as needed.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Compile regular fuel consumption reports and monthly vehicle utilization analysis, as well as monitoring technical reviews.<\/p>\n

Security:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Support to the Context Officer, movement reporting, monitoring and accompaniment to teams in the field.<\/p>\n
