Founded in 1950, Doctors with Africa CUAMM was the first NGO focused on healthcare to be recognized by the Italian government. It is now one of the leading organization working to protect and improve the well-being and health of vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
\nThe NGO promotes long-term health cooperation projects, intervening also in emergencies to ensure that services are available to all.
\nDoctors with Africa CUAMM is currently active in 8 Sub-Saharan countries: Angola, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda<\/strong>.
\nThe NGO supports public and non-profit hospitals, local districts, schools of nursing and midwifery, university faculties of medicine.
\nCUAMM\u2019s action focuses on health system strengthening and targets the weakest population groups, particularly women and children. Interventions include prevention, screening and treatment programmes; development or strengthening of referral systems at community level; training of health staff; management support and technical assistance to local health institutions; field research.

Purpose of the role<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nurse Anaesthetist will be part of the anaesthesia and critical care team at the Government Maternity Hospital of Pujehun.
\nHe\/she will provide safe, effective, and high-quality obstetric anaesthesia services for elective and emergency cases and will be responsible for developing and implementing protocols and procedures on obstetric anaesthesia care in compliance with national and international standards, to enhance the quality of anaesthesia services within the second health care facility.
\nWorking in close collaboration with the Gynaecologist and the Operating Theatre team, the Nurse Anaesthetist will support and supervise nurse anaesthetist students during their clinical practice period and contribute to training and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen healthcare personnel skills.<\/p>\n
