Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Philanthropy, this role will build and manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors with the capacity to give more than $100,000 annually. They are tasked with developing and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to build meaningful, long-term relationships with donors. The Director will bring donors closer to CARE\u2019s mission and leadership through strategic outreach, leadership engagement, and personalized stewardship. This role requires deep and thoughtful engagement with donors, presenting exciting opportunities to invest in CARE while also serving as a thought partner for how donors can achieve impact that aligns with their values and goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Fundraising<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a portfolio of 30-50 donors and prospects, developing and implementing tailored engagement and solicitation strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Secure gifts of $100,000 and above, meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Principal Gifts team and CARE leadership to educate donors on their impact and provide opportunities to invest in organizational priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Share the meaningful impact donors make in creative ways and tailored to various communication styles. Ensure donors they feel inspired, engaged, and deeply connected to CARE\u2019s mission, projects, and people.<\/li>\n<li>Creatively and thoughtfully build meaningful connections and community, serving as a liaison between funders, Board Members, CARE program leaders, and partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Prospect and Pipeline Development<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and cultivate new principal gift prospects through CARE events, small gatherings, and the annual Impact Awards.<\/li>\n<li>Build and activate a pipeline of donors identified through events, influencers, emergencies, donor-advised funds (DAFs), and Board Member networks.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the Prospect Research team to maximize efforts to engage the next generation of philanthropists by identifying emerging donors and creating tailored engagement strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and pipelines in CARE\u2019s CRM system, Salesforce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Internal Collaboration<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with CARE\u2019s internal teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities to strengthen donor and prospect relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a collaborative and enthusiastic representative of the Principal Gifts team, fostering strong internal relationships and embodying CARE\u2019s values of inclusion, integrity, and partnership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bachelor\u2019s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.<br \/>\n&#8211; Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a fundraising role, preferably in a Principal or Major Gifts role engaging with ultra-high-net-worth individuals.<\/p>\n<h2 id='how-to-apply'  id=\"boomdevs_1\">How to apply<\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/phg.tbe.taleo.net\/phg02\/ats\/careers\/v2\/viewRequisition?org=CAREUSA&amp;cws=52&amp;rid=7694\">https:\/\/phg.tbe.taleo.net\/phg02\/ats\/careers\/v2\/viewRequisition?org=CAREUSA&#038;cws=52&#038;rid=7694<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>There are individuals who may use CARE\u2019s name and trademark in emails and on websites in an attempt to solicit fees from interested job-seekers.
