We implement programmes across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America and The Caribbean using the latest in behavioural science principles and a rigorous approach to research, strategy, campaign design and implementation. Our clients includes UN agencies, INGOs, governments and the private sector. Whether we are aiming to shift parenting practices to improve children\u2019s outcomes or to understand how social norms underpin corruption, we always go the extra mile to ensure we can create positive impact for some of the most underserved populations in the world.<\/p>\n<p>MAGENTA\u2019s Africa team operates on a range of projects that include research, strategy development, SBC intervention implementation, and evaluation. We currently operate across West and Central Africa. We are looking for exceptional individuals to join this team, driven by a keen desire to deliver social impact and who thrive in fast-paced environments.<\/p>\n<p>Primary responsibilities of the intern are the following (1) programme management support, (2) business development support, and (3) knowledge management support.<\/p>\n<h2 id='responsibilities'  id=\"boomdevs_1\">RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h2>\n<h3 id='the-intern-will-report-to-the-africa-regional-director-typical-tasks-include'  id=\"boomdevs_2\">The intern will report to the Africa Regional Director. Typical tasks include:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Programme Management Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Conduct regular desk review and situation analyses in French and English<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support analysis of primary data (quantitative and qualitative) to support programme implementation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provide inputs to project plans, Gantt charts and resource plans<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contributing to technical reports, project presentations, and programme updates<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Monitoring of project KPIs and updating of monitoring and evaluation tracking tools<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Filing of project documentation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Organising project logistics, including travel and calendar scheduling<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Development Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contribute to project design, including theories of change, activity design, M&#038;E frameworks, resource plans, financial plans<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contributing to proposal preparation and submission<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Monitoring of tenders and opportunities in Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Updating MAGENTA databases \u2013 past performance records, contact lists, partner testimonials<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Write up detailed meeting notes<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Developing project case studies<\/p>\n<h2 id='requirements'  id=\"boomdevs_3\">REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Relevant degree from a top tier university required; Masters preferred<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Substantial knowledge of one of the following: International Development, Programme Management, Behavioural Sciences, Social Sciences, Communications<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ability to work effectively, respectfully and successfully with governments, clients, partners and other stakeholders in complex settings;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Knowledge of Africa strongly desired, lived experience in Africa an asset;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Excellent written and spoken French, working proficiency in English is required;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Technological and software fluency, include Office 365.<\/p>\n<h2 id='competencies'  id=\"boomdevs_4\">COMPETENCIES<\/h2>\n<p>The following are key competencies required for this position:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Competency 1 \u2013 learning agility: demonstrate ability to absorb new information readily and to put it into practice effectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Competency 2 \u2013 reliability: conscientious and focused on working for the good of their team and the organization.
