We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted functionality and usability of all ICRC premises related facilities, tools, equipment, machine, appliances and resources at any given time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities &#038; Functional responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that office structures and residences are well maintained;<\/li>\n<li>Manage the maintenance workshop, facilities and control productivity;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, read interpret designs, drawings, and bills of quantities and work progress schedules for all civil works as necessary;<\/li>\n<li>Propose and implement economic and efficient way of maintenance;<\/li>\n<li>Establish, maintain and ensure adequate security systems for workshop facilities to prevent theft, pilferage and damage to staff, property &#038; equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Manage all the passive security projects and ensure the implementation of all compulsory measures in all premises and offices;<\/li>\n<li>Propose and implement energy and water saving schemes in the ICRC premises;<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and formulate solutions for the electrical, carpentry, masonry, or metal works, plumbing and painting and any other civil work;<\/li>\n<li>Plan new constructions with premises responsible and co-ordinate maintenance of buildings at Delegation, Logistics and all housing premises;<\/li>\n<li>Oversees Planned Property Management (PPM) for planning, execution, monitoring and reporting;<\/li>\n<li>Provides daily, weekly and monthly progress report on various maintenance work and projects;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the budget of the maintenance unit and report monthly to the Premises responsible;<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Premises responsible in sourcing for contractors, negotiate contracts, prepare contract documents, analyses, evaluate and maintain the contractors list;<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to Djibouti mission;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental standards and industry codes;<\/li>\n<li>Develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes in facility maintenance operations; implements and monitors compliance with LEED procedures, and processes;<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and coordinate all the maintenance work done at the Logistics Center, and do the weekly planning of the needs;<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the maintenance team and prepare work schedules with the Deputy head of maintenance and the Premises responsible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we will look for in your profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Facility Management, Building Construction, Engeering or any other relevant field;<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of <strong>8 year\u2019s<\/strong> professional experience in a similar field and as a supervisor;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in technical\/engineering operations and facilities management best practices;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles;<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Certified Facility Manager) will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diverse and humanitarian-minded workforce;<\/li>\n<li>An opportunity to contribute to institutional efforts to protect and assist conflict victims worldwide;<\/li>\n<li>Training opportunities ;<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id='how-to-apply'  id=\"boomdevs_1\">How to apply<\/h2>\n<p>The interested candidates should fill the application form by clicking the link below then submit their CV, motivation letter, including references details, supporting documents (Certificates, Diplomas, Degree etc) on or before <strong>06th November 2024<\/strong> to ICRC Nairobi Delegation, HR Department via the email address provided below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/h0QqKr3jbw\"><strong>Application Link<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li>Email: <strong>nai_hrrec_services@icrc.org<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>The reference Facility Manager must be stated in the application to be valid<\/strong>.
