For thirty years, the international NGO Acted has been working on the last mile of humanitarian action to save lives. Acted currently supports 20 million people in 43 countries to meet their needs in hard-to-reach areas, and pursues a triple humanitarian, environmental and development mandate. Acted relies on in-depth knowledge of territories and local contexts to develop and implement long-term actions, with a wide range of local and international partners, in order to build together a \u201c3ZERO\u201d world: Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty<\/p>\n

Acted Tchad<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Acted has been operating in Chad since November 2004 and in Lac since 2011 where it carries out emergency and resilience interventions with refugee, displaced, returnee and vulnerable host populations.<\/p>\n

Acted Chad has more than 130 employees and runs its operations from its national coordination base in N’Djamena.<\/p>\n

With a regional coordination base in Bol and a sub-base in Daboua, Acted’s programs currently take place in the departments of Mamdi, Fouli and Kaya, in the Lake Chad Province. Acted’s strategy combines an emergency response within the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) consortium through food assistance (food\/cash and non-food distribution programs, nutrition) and shelter; and support for early recovery through programs to combat malnutrition and multi-sectoral approaches in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH), emergency education (EiE), disaster risk reduction (DRR) and strengthening of means of existence.<\/p>\n

Main role and responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The project manager manages the implementation of project activities, prepares written elements and progress reports on field activities. He\/she contributes to the efficient and timely completion of project activities, guarantees quality feedback and the achievement of objectives with maximum impact for the beneficiaries. He\/she reports directly to the project manager and works closely with the field team.<\/p>\n
