{"id":13362,"date":"2024-09-26T15:11:58","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T10:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/esc-volunteering-childrens-learning-facilitator\/"},"modified":"2024-09-26T15:11:58","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T10:11:58","slug":"esc-volunteering-childrens-learning-facilitator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secardo.org\/?p=13362","title":{"rendered":"ESC Volunteering-Children\u2019s Learning Facilitator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"tag country\">Country: Greece<\/div>\n<div class=\"tag source\">Organization: Open Cultural Center<\/div>\n<div class=\"date closing\">Closing date: 30 Oct 2024<\/div>\n<p><strong>Main tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with coordinating OCC children classes.<\/li>\n<li>Support short-term volunteers in the delivery of classes for children.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with curriculum and resource development, for children\u2019s classes<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the administrative aspects of the education program, including the<br \/>\nupkeep of attendance lists.<\/li>\n<li>Teach and facilitate non-formal educational activities for elementary and<br \/>\nsecondary-aged children.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the short term volunteers in preparation of children classes by<br \/>\ncreating \/ enriching of a pool of interactive activities (art and craft, literacy<br \/>\ngames, science games) on a daily basis;<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that motivation and respect are provided to the children&#8217;s classes<br \/>\nfrom teachers under the code of conduct and the safeguarding policies of<br \/>\nOCC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in primary or secondary education or a related field is<br \/>\nstrongly preferred;<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience teaching children, preferably in NGO contexts with<br \/>\ndisplaced people;<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with curriculum development is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with early childhood practices and working with refugees;<\/li>\n<li>Organisational and communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Volunteer requirements established by ESC program<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.<\/li>\n<li>To have a legal residence permit in an EU country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Never having done an ESC volunteering before.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates that don&#8217;t meet these requirements won&#8217;t be able to be considered as potential candidates for this volunteer position.<br \/>\nWhat do we offer?<\/li>\n<li>Our volunteering program is funded by the European Commission through the<\/li>\n<li>European Solidarity Corps program.<br \/>\nThis means that volunteering provides:<\/li>\n<li>Travel costs coverage: Up to the limits established in the Erasmus+ Guide distance<br \/>\ncalculator from the volunteer\u2019s region of residency to our center, and back<\/li>\n<li>Free Accommodation (shared room): Provided in Polykastro.
