ABA ROLI’s Strategic Programs Division has an opportunity for a paid intern to support the division\u2019s women\u2019s economic security and rule of law programs through research, social media material development, and analysis of project performance and rule of law across several project countries (e.g., Guatemala, Mexico, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste). The intern will work with the Strategic Program Division\u2019s DC-based and field staff and have opportunities to participate in meetings and learning sessions with other ROLI divisions. Research assignments will focus on current programming and funding opportunities in areas such as human rights, gender equity, women\u2019s economic empowerment, criminal law, and access to justice.<\/p>\n

Paid Interns will gain valuable experience while contributing to the important work of the ABA. The internship program is structured for the primary benefit of the intern and provides the intern with meaningful training\/experience and educational benefits.<\/p>\n

Work Location:<\/strong> Combination of in office and remote\/telework.<\/p>\n

Duration of Internship<\/strong>: twelve (12) weeks.<\/p>\n

Hours per week:<\/strong> 28 hours.<\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong> To be eligible for a paid internship, individuals must be 18 years of age or older, and
\nauthorized to work in the United States.<\/p>\n

Gender Studies, International Relations, International Development, Anthropology, Sociology<\/p>\n

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist relevant business unit in accomplishing the mission and goals of the ABA.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Accepts and completes assigned projects during the term of the internship.<\/p>\n

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ability to multitask.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Possession of or working towards a bachelor\u2019s or graduate degree, relevant to the area of work, from an accredited college or university.<\/p>\n

Additional Desired Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong research, writing, analytical, knowledge management, and communication skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Interest in women\u2019s economic empowerment, gender, equity, social inclusion, and
\nsafeguarding, and international development in the nonprofit sector.<\/p>\n
