Jireh Doo Foundation (JDF) is a National Non-government organization with over 21 years\u2019 existence and actively intervening in the humanitarian response in the Northeast and other parts of the country since 2003. JDF works in the following thematic areas.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Improved response to the humanitarian needs of the vulnerable persons.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Improved gender equality and livelihood support for persons at the community level of young persons, men and women<\/p>\n

\u2022 Promotion of prevention and treatment in HIV and other health disease burden (Malaria, TB and Diarrhea)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Promotion of protection programs for children and youth in Communities that encourages child development and Adolescent empowerment \u2022 Promoting good governance and policies<\/p>\n

\u2022 Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability learning and sharing of information on protection, livelihood support accessible through knowledge and information management.<\/p>\n

Jireh Doo Foundation is seeking candidates with a bachelor\u2019s degree\/HND in Accounting\/Business Administration and a minimum of two years<\/strong> of experience working on a finance role to support the implementation of its activities in its Northwest office in Sokoto state.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finance:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Ensure that all petty cash financial transactions are carried out and recorded in accordance with standard financial procedures.<\/p>\n

2. Maintain cashbooks and accounts records.<\/p>\n

3. Make payments, including preparing payment vouchers.<\/p>\n

4. Receive cash, including preparing receipt vouchers.<\/p>\n

5. Prepare month end cashbook.<\/p>\n

6. Monitor cash flow and request top-ups from the Finance Manager.<\/p>\n

7. Ensure that all financial records are properly kept.<\/p>\n

8. Prepare an analysis of the cashbooks and the management report.<\/p>\n

9. Monitor actual expenditure versus budgets.<\/p>\n

10. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.<\/p>\n

Administrative:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Maintain all administration files.<\/p>\n

2. Receive, distribute, circulate and file all documents.<\/p>\n

3. Ensure that all communications are properly referenced and recorded.<\/p>\n

4. Make arrangements for meetings and workshops.<\/p>\n

5. Maintain and manage a suitable stock of office stationery.<\/p>\n

6. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management of the organization.<\/p>\n

Qualification and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    A minimum of bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Business Management and Finance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Master\u2019s degree will be an added advantage; \u2022 A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management. \u2022<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential.<\/p>\n

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    **1.**Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.<\/p>\n

    2. Advanced computer skills, including the ability to utilize QuickBooks accounting software, Microsoft Excel or any other accounting package, type quickly and to use Microsoft Office products, email, and internet.<\/p>\n

    3. Ability to operate a scanner\/printer machine\/photocopying machine. 4.Fluency in English (written & spoken).<\/p>\n

    5. Ability to travel within Nigeria. Problem solving attitude<\/p>\n

    6. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.<\/p>\n
