Its charter of humanitarian principles &#8211; independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency &#8211; has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health &#8211; Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection &#8211; Food Security and Livelihoods &#8211; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene &#8211; Advocacy. In 2022, Action Against Hunger helped more than 28 million people in 46 countries around the world. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.actioncontrelafaim.org\">www.actioncontrelafaim.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mission :<\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will develop, scale up, and guarantee the quality and relevance of ACF&#8217;s FSL strategy and programs in Yemen, in conformity with ACF, international standards, and national policies.<br \/>\nMore precisely, you will be responsible for the following missions:<br \/>\nContribute to defining the country strategy, as well as the strategy and positioning of the FSL technical department.<br \/>\nAdopt the technical strategies and positions produced by headquarters.<br \/>\nCoordinate the identification of needs and formulation of project proposals.<br \/>\nDefine, coordinate, and carry out the assessments of FSL needs in the project and closely related areas.<br \/>\nCoordinate and\/or write reports on the assessment of needs, feasibility, and proposals to funding agencies.<br \/>\nValidate the methodologies and documentation produced by PMs.<br \/>\nConduct regular visits to projects and maintain functional interaction with PMs.<br \/>\nEnsure quality and cost-effectiveness of FSL intervention at the country level:<br \/>\nCheck conformity with standards (SPHERE, WHO, national, etc.).<br \/>\nArrange field visits and produce reports containing technical and operational recommendations.<br \/>\nEnsure the active participation of Action Against Hunger in national sectoral coordination and technical forums, and develop sectoral partnerships.<br \/>\nParticipate in the recruitment of national PMs or be involved in the selection of expatriates (defining profiles, conducting interviews and\/or complementary tests, evaluating technical competence for the project).<br \/>\nContribute to the technical aspects of drafting HR appeals for expatriates (job descriptions, technical recruitment criteria, action plans).<br \/>\nPromote capitalization, technical development, and research within the FSL Department.<\/p>\n<p>Profile :<\/p>\n<p>You hold a Master&#8217;s degree or equivalent in agriculture, social sciences, or a related field, with at least 5 years of field experience in the FSL sector with a humanitarian NGO, including 2 to 3 years in the same and\/or similar positions.<br \/>\nYou have experience in cash-for-work, agricultural, and cash distribution programs. Additionally, you have experience working with the private sector, social entrepreneurship, and SMEs.<br \/>\nYou have knowledge of program management in the field. Experience working on the Syrian crisis or in the Middle East would be an advantage.<br \/>\nYou are familiar with standard logistics, financial, and HR procedures and practices.<br \/>\nYou have a high capacity for work, are able to manage stress, and work effectively under pressure, demonstrating a high degree of flexibility.
