Together we can reinforce a culture of respect, integrity, accountability, and transparency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The GBV Advisor will be responsible for developing the GBV strategy for the Venezuela country program and for providing timely and sustainable technical support. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Programs and in coordination with the Protection Program Manager, the GBV Advisor will define program parameters as per GBV and Protection international standards and best practices and based on the assessed needs. In addition, s\/he will provide information and training to staff in order to promote the correct implementation of established program parameters, as well as to monitor the implementation of those.<\/p>\n<p>The GBV Advisor will also coordinate with the HQ based technical team to adapt GBV and Protection approaches. S\/he will lead the design and the development of comprehensive assessments at community and health facility level to define program parameters. The GBV advisor will also map and develop internal and external referral pathways with institutional partners and NGOs providing PSS and protection services in the area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 S\/He will take a lead role in integrating GBV analysis and assessments across all objective areas of the project, with a particular focus on leading specific objective areas.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assess the current GBV efforts across areas of intervention both for protection and health, identify gaps, duplications, challenges, and best practices.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure appropriate integration of GBV in the Health program.<br \/>\n\u2022 Design and deliver GBV course modules, as appropriate, including but not limited to Clinical Management of Rape, GBV Case management, Identification and Safe Referrals.<br \/>\n\u2022 Facilitate training and workshops for country program staff, health and community-based personnel including Doctors, Nurses, CHW and community allies engaged in the program.<br \/>\n\u2022 Design GBV-related interventions and develop relevant projects based on action plan, and support fund-raising efforts as necessary.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct field visits to monitor and support GBV activities and interventions, and provide technical and quality support at programming by providing feedback and mentoring.<br \/>\n\u2022 Support the team in the design and analysis of indicators based on data collection in specific health centers and community interventions related to Protection and GBV monitor progress.<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide technical support to and identify opportunities for the development of relevant advocacy and communication\/information materials to address gender (in)equality issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Support linkages and coordination between the health cluster (including MHPSS working group) and the GBV Sub-Cluster and strengthen integration of health services into GBV referral network\/referral pathways, in coordination with the GBV Sub-Cluster and PSEA network. Documentation and Reporting:<br \/>\n\u2022 Evaluate disaggregated and cumulative tracking of beneficiaries and documentation of all activities and outcomes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in the preparation of internal and external reports, including submission of donor reports.<br \/>\n\u2022 Advise on the collection and reporting of GBV project data.<br \/>\n\u2022 Promote the culture of learning and documentation so that lessons learned, and good practices are documented and shared for institutional memory.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure proper documentation of all training, completion, and analysis of pre- and post-knowledge tests and on-the-job supervision checklists, as well as mental health PHC integration checklists.<br \/>\n\u2022 Contribute to building a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, especially through the application of the organization&#8217;s Code of Conduct, ethics, values and point of view with respect to internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u2022 Promotes and fosters a culture of compliance and ethics throughout Project HOPE. As appropriate to the position, maintains a clear understanding of and adheres to Project HOPE and donor compliance and ethics standards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Work with the highest level of integrity.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with all other processes and functions inherent to your position or additional requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Graduate degree (master&#8217;s or higher) in social science, social work, gender, international development, psychology or related field or at least ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a graduate degree.<br \/>\n\u2022 At least 5 years&#8217; work experience in violence against women\/gender-based violence response and prevention, ideally with some of this in humanitarian settings, with proven knowledge of health and gender-based violence issues, a good understanding of gender quality and survivor-centered perspectives.<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct services to communities.<br \/>\n\u2022 The position requires expert knowledge of the IASC guidelines in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings and on global humanitarian protection guidelines.<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to develop strategies, operational frameworks, and tools to address protection needs, monitor multi-sectoral prevention, risk mitigation and response programs within the humanitarian architecture.<br \/>\n\u2022 Direct experience providing gender technical support, capacity building, and delivering training to a range of audiences and participants.<br \/>\n\u2022 Management, training, and supervision experience is required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong organizational and supervisory skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within different cultural environments.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work within a team structure or in isolation, flexible, and able to cope with stressful environment with limited resources.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience developing gender-sensitive MEAL plans and building a variety of partnerships.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven capacity to take initiative and willingness to learn new skills as needed.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.<br \/>\n\u2022 Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluency in Spanish and English.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
