We protect lives and human rights and empower beneficiaries throughout conflict displacement by providing shelter, food and hope in terms of work, education and integration towards a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>DRC established an operational presence in Colombia in 2011 with a focus on Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and providing support to the conflict-affected population in the south of the country. With the onset of large mixed migration flows into Colombia due to the Venezuelan crisis, DRC initiated an integrated humanitarian response in 2018 to meet the urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, Colombian returnees, and host communities in some of the most vulnerable areas of Colombia, such as the Caribbean coastal areas (Riohacha and Barranquilla), urban centers (Bogot\u00e1 and Cundinamarca), and Caquet\u00e1. In 2021, DRC opened field offices on the South Pacific coast in the department of Nari\u00f1o and the northern part of Colombia in Norte de Santander.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW:<\/strong> The Case Management Officer will be responsible for receiving, managing, providing psychosocial support and referring cases with specific protection needs. The OG-NoS will develop and maintain good relationships with persons of concern, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to support the proper implementation and coordination of DRC-NoS project activities and ensure the quality of planning, implementation and monitoring of protection activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Implementation of the Protection Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive external and internal referrals of cases of people with specific protection needs and proceed with case management once the protection profiles have been analysed according to the criteria set by DRC.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with other DRC units, external actors and humanitarian organizations for case management.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for coordination with humanitarian institutions and organizations in order to facilitate the referral of cases and access to services\/rights for PoC.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure informed consent of the beneficiary for humanitarian assistance necessary to address identified protection needs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure active listening to beneficiaries with the aim of identifying the most appropriate humanitarian assistance service to address the identified protection needs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper registration of cases received and being managed in the project database.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the proper procurement, collection and organization of physical and digital verification media for the project.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the information contained in the case management database constantly updated.<\/li>\n<li>Handle confidential information correctly, managing protection files accurately, correctly and completely.<\/li>\n<li>Develop individual care plans to address identified protection needs and proceed to deliver humanitarian assistance, including medical services, emergency shelter, transportation and delivery of in-kind items.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the delivery of identified humanitarian assistance by managing direct purchasing processes and, therefore, establishing coordination with service providers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the correct legalization of expenses incurred for the provision of humanitarian assistance services.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure follow-up of cases by finding out the satisfaction of beneficiaries in receiving services.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that cases are closed in a timely manner appropriate to the emergency framework in which they are implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Provide information for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as required by the Case Management Lead and\/or Safeguarding Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the highest quality of case management interventions and coherence across all ongoing and proposed projects in line with the overall strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Follow work plans and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Support the protection team in carrying out activities specific to the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in humanitarian protection, social work, human rights or other similar field work.
