The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is looking for a dedicated, resilient and dynamic professional to take on the role of Co-coordinator of the ASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) cluster for Venezuela. NRC has been elected by the members as the co-coordinating agency for the Venezuela ASH cluster. The coordination and co-coordination will have to work closely together to Ensure effective coordination among Cluster members, government agencies, NGOs, civil society organizations (CSOs) and other relevant actors in order to ensure the key functions of the Cluster (6+1) established in the reference module for the coordination of the Cluster at the national level

What will your responsibilities be?

1. Coordinate and facilitate regular Cluster meetings and update on the status of the WASH response in Venezuela together with the coordinator.
2. Collaborate with the coordinator in the preparation and participation of inter-Cluster meetings and/or represent the Cluster in the absence of the coordinator
3. Collect, analyze and share information on WASH needs and the WASH situation in Venezuela.
4. Facilitate, together with the coordinator, communication between the members of the Cluster and ensure that information flows effectively.
5. Promote the participation of partners in technical working groups (TWGs), contribute to their training, collaborate with them and share the products obtained to ensure that ASH activities are coherent and aligned with best practices, validating that humanitarian standards are adapted to the context of Venezuela and that national regulations are complied with.
6. Support the coordination of WASH projects on the ground, ensuring that international standards and guidelines are met, and that activities are aligned with the WASH strategic plan and identified needs.

Education and experience requirements

• Professional in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other related fields in the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.
• Verbal and written fluency in the English language.
• Minimum 3 years in ASH project management in humanitarian contexts.
• Handling of generic humanitarian guides and manuals and ASH such as the Sphere Manual, Wash Fit, 3-Star Manual, compendium of sanitation technologies and systems, etc.
• Mastery in the use of office tools relevant to the management of the ASH competency.
• Proven track record of training/capacity development of individuals and teams, including partner organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex humanitarian and recovery contexts at local and national levels, monitor changes and translate them into appropriate strategic planning.
• Good assessment, analysis, monitoring and evaluation, planning and project management skills to enable programme delivery.

• Type of contract: National or international 12-month employment contract, with the possibility of renewal based on budget and performance
• Compensation/Benefits: As per NRC pay scales, terms and conditions this position is Grade 9.
