Mission :

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, the Nutrition and Health Head of Department is responsible for defining and implementing strategies, as well as coordinating activities, to achieve an integrated approach to addressing undernutrition and health for pregnant and lactating women and children under five, in alignment with the objectives of Action Contre la Faim.
More precisely, you will be responsible for the following missions:
Provide technical support through regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of Nutrition and Health programs, projects, and activities at the country program level.
Collaborate closely with fellow Heads of Department (HoDs), Field Coordinators, Nutrition and Health Program Managers (PMs), Deputy Country Director Program, human resources, logistics, and finance/administration departments regarding the needs of the programs.
Define the Nutrition and Health country strategy and positioning, coordinate needs identification, and formulate project proposals.
Provide analysis of the nutrition and health situation in the country, specifically in areas where ACF works or intends to work.
Define/revise, as necessary, the mission’s nutrition and health strategy in collaboration with Deputy Country Director Program, nutrition and health teams, and key representatives/HoDs of other technical departments. This should be in line with ACF national and international frameworks, with an emphasis on ensuring an integrated, coherent, and efficient cross-sectoral approach.
Promote capitalization through the analysis and collection of qualitative and quantitative data.
Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectoral coordination and technical forums, and develop sectoral partnerships.
Ensure continuity and development of the talent pipeline by identifying high-potential national staff and developing comprehensive individual development plans/succession plans.

Profile :

You have a medical or paramedical background, preferably with a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or Social Sciences, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with NGOs, including at least 2 years in a similar or comparable position, spanning both emergency and development contexts. Prior experience as a Nutrition and Health Program Manager will be highly valued and considered a significant asset for this role.
You possess confirmed technical expertise in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (SRMNCH), as well as pharmacy management.
Experience in Health System Strengthening, Adolescent Health, Nutrition Surveillance, and the implementation of integrated approaches (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support/Nutrition, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene/Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods/Nutrition) would be advantageous.
You also demonstrate strong abilities in designing strategies and providing technical support in project proposal development.
Excellent diplomacy, negotiation, representation, and advocacy skills are essential.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required, and knowledge of the Burmese language is considered an asset.

Conditions of employment

12 months fixed term contract under French
SalaryMonthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968euros upon experience
Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 697euros net, field paid

Medical coverage: ACF covers 100% of the social security, health insurance, and repatriation insurance agreement fees.
