Focus on our activities in BURKINA
PUI has been operating in Burkina Faso since July 2020 through activities to maintain the continuum of care for populations affected by the crisis in the Eastern region (district of Fada, Gayéri, Pama, Diappaga and Bogandé), the Sahel (district of Sebba) and in the Boucle du Mouhoun (Boromo). PUI’s intervention is structured around two pillars: support for the resilience of the healthcare system and emergency response through the deployment of mobile clinics. These projects, supported by the CDCS, ECHO and the Humanitarian Fund, are part of an integrated approach: thus, PUI supports the provision of primary and secondary health care in supported health centers, rehabilitates water points, takes in charge of malnutrition and emergency referrals to the secondary level, provide food assistance. PUI works on several projects with a national partner and an international partner.
And the Grants Officer in all this?
As Grants Officer, you will be in charge of managing donor deadlines linked to the programs, internal and external communication on the mission and will support the Deputy Head of Mission for programs in his daily tasks, particularly in writing intervention proposals.
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Programs: You will support the writing and formulation of project proposals, as well as the substantive and formal revision of donor reports.
- Communication/Information: You will develop internal and external communication documents and participate in communication working groups.
- Representation: You will participate in external coordination meetings.
The challenges that await you:
Constant structuring of the department in order to better respond to the requirements and challenges of the current context / Strengthening of teams in terms of internal and external reporting / Improvement of communication and capitalization efforts / Standardize the understanding of donor expectations and co-financing on the assignment.
What you will need to succeed
- Formation
You can provide proof of a higher diploma (Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to project management.
- Experience
You have prior experience in the international solidarity sector, including ideally a minimum of six months in project management. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
- SKILLS
You have excellent writing skills and knowledge of the rules of the main institutional donors (ECHO, EuropeAid, UN, OFDA, etc.).
- Required qualities
You have a sense of responsibility, are autonomous and proactive. You show good analytical skills, are a good communicator, both written and oral, and know how to manage priorities well. You demonstrate organization, rigor, flexibility, and good resistance to stress.
- LANGUAGES

PUI will offer you
- Status: Employee on a fixed-term contract
- Gross monthly salary: 2,050.00 – 2,270.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI

- Break regime: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission + break bonus
