Then you are most welcome to apply for an internship with us at the International Rescue Committee (Rescue) during the autumn term of 2025.
About Rescue
The International Rescue Committee (Rescue) was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein and is today an international humanitarian organization with operations in over 40 countries around the world. At the end of 2019, Rescue opened an office in Stockholm with the goal of creating commitment and increasing knowledge about humanitarian crises and how it affects people, as well as gathering funds from the public in Sweden. We are currently about 20 employees at our office at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm.
About the practice
As a trainee, you will be part of the collection team. We are looking for you who are interested in collection, marketing and communication. You should be a strong communicator in Swedish and curious to work with e-mail, social media and production of content for different communication channels. Depending on your background, it is possible to adapt the practice to your interest and expertise.
Main tasks
- Create engaging content to email to existing donors.
- Do research and create materials such as quiz, Q&A, presentations and ads.
- Translate and write articles into website and donation pages.
- External monitoring around trends and news.
- Act Mystery Shopper and evaluate our recruitment of donors in town.
- Other support for the collection team.
Practice is for you as
- For example, studying marketing, communication or other relevant education.
- Enjoy writing and translating.
- Is fluent in writing in Swedish and English.
- Is creative and driven.
It is a plus if you also have knowledge and are interested in learning more about one or more of the following areas:
- Graphic design.
- Create content for digital media.
- Trends in collection and marketing.
- Work in the humanitarian sector.

To apply for practice, you need to read an internship course or have LIA via a university such as university, college or vocational college or that you have approved work practice through the Employment Service. We offer no salary or compensation. The practice is 20 weeks, ie a whole semester.
