The Global Health Institute of Barcelona (ISGlobal) is an avant -garde Institute that addresses the global public health challenges through research, translation of research into public policies and education. What we are looking for

We are looking for an accounting assistant organized and oriented to details to join our finance team. As an accounting assistant, you will play a key role in the support of daily accounting operations, ensuring the precision and punctuality of financial data. This position is ideal for our development in Mozambique.

Responsibility

  • Help in the preparation and processing of invoices, payments and receipts
  • Maintain and update accounting records and books.
  • Attend in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Support in the preparation of fiscal documents and compliance with the regulations.
  • Manage the transactions of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as necessary.

PROFILE

  • FP in accounting, finance or related area (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience in similar position being expatriate.
  • Domain of Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate with initiative, worker and good skills for teamwork.

LANGUAGE

  • Native Spanish.
  • English and Portuguese valuable.

CONDITIONS

  • Duration: 1 year
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Contrato: Full Time
  • Salario: 20.400€ / 22.666€ (gross annual)

Selection process

The selection process was designed in two phases:
1- Technical interview phase, with the team that requires incorporation, to evaluate the person’s skills and CV.
2 – Meeting with HR with the finalists to finish the evaluation of the profile and discuss the contractual and institutional issues.

If necessary, a technical test can be performed. A psychological evaluation of competencies for structural or transverse positions will be required.

According to the OTM-R principles, a selection panel is formed with gender balance for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise during the process may also be required.
