Who are we looking for?
For a new team we are looking for a Support Officer Dutch programs. The Dutch programs Support Officer is part of the new department Institutional Fundraising and National Programs. This department is involved in the acquisition of institutional funds and the implementation of programs in the Netherlands.
We are looking for someone who is good at planning and coordinating and has commercial skills. As Support Officer Dutch Programs you are responsible for coordinating trainings and for the administrative support for the implementation of Dutch programs.
Our organization
The new department Institutional Fundraising and National Programs is part of War Child Netherlands. War Child has developed a series of scientifically proven interventions: the Care System. The ultimate goal of these interventions is to support the mental well-being of children. In the Netherlands, a number of interventions are being implemented for refugee children, youth and caregivers.
The Dutch Programmes Support Officer reports to and supports the Dutch Programmes Coordinator in the coordination and implementation of War Child programmes in the Netherlands.
Your Responsibilities
- You coordinate the planning of training sessions and are responsible for communication with trainers
- You help organize training days
- You are responsible for coordinating with translators and illustrators
- You support in improving training materials
- You assist in drawing up project budgets and invoices, in collaboration with the financial team
- You monitor budget expenditure and income and report problems when they arise
- You provide support for information and document management in the relevant systems
- You contribute to project reports
- You assist in preparing presentations and documents for donors, partners and management
- You support fundraisers in obtaining the right information, in collaboration with the communications team
- You represent War Child in relevant working groups and at events
Profile
- Education in psychology, social sciences or related field is a plus
- Experience in monitoring budgets
- Fluent in Dutch
- Planning, coordination and reporting skills
- Available for 20 hours per week
- EU citizen or eligible to live and work in the EU.
What we offer
- Salary ranges from €2,471 to €3,012 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week (the exact amount is determined by the years of your relevant work experience);
- 8% holiday allowance based on the annual salary;
- An employment contract for 20 hours until December 31, 2024.
- 29 days of vacation per year on a full-time basis (of which 3 predetermined days off);

- Net contribution to home working and travel expenses in accordance with our hybrid work policy (our office is best reached by public transport);
- Monthly mobile phone allowance of €25 net per month;
